How to extract the report for Android devices internal storage availability for defined usage using SureMDM

Purpose

In the world of enterprise mobility, monitoring device performance and resource utilization is essential for maintaining efficiency and compliance. So SureMDM allows administrators to create custom reports to monitor device performance and resource usage. One such useful report is identifying devices with low or specified free internal storage. This Report helps IT admins proactively manage storage-related issues and maintain device performance and compliance.

This feature allows IT admins to generate a custom report in SureMDM to identify Android devices with internal storage below a defined threshold. 

Prerequisites

  • The devices must be enrolled and reporting to the SureMDM Console.
  • Users must have permission to access Reports in the SureMDM Console.

Steps

  1. On the SureMDM console, navigate to Reports.
  2. Select Custom Reports and click on Add (+).
  3. Enter the Report’s Name and Description.
  4. Under the Tables list, search for “Free Internal Storage” and enable it. Now, click on Add.
  1. Now, scroll down and configure the Filters for the defined values of available internal storage. 

NOTE: Here, we have enabled the filter for devices running an Internal Storage lof ess than  5GB. The values are defined in terms of MBs.

  1. Click on Save.
  2. Now navigate to On-Demand Reports.
  3. Search for the Custom Report you created.
  4. Now select the Group for which the report has to be generated.
  5. Now click on the Request Report.
  6. Navigate to View Reports and search for the report by its name.
  7. Now, click on View to view the report, and Download to download the report.

Now the report with the defined internal storage devices list will be extracted.
