How to Enable Unattended Remote Control Interaction on BYOD Enrolled Android Devices

Purpose

The purpose of this article is to guide administrators on how to configure remote control access on BYOD enrolled devices without requiring user approval or interaction during session initiation.

Prerequisites

  1. Should have an active SureMDM Account
  2. Android devices to be enrolled in BYOD

Steps

  1. On the device end, launch SureMDM Agent > Settings > User Privacy > Enable Unattended Remote Control”.

  2. Once the above setting is configured, any remote support session initiated by the administrator will start silently, without requiring any user interaction or approval on the device.

Note: Since BYOD enrolled devices have certain platform-level limitations and cannot be fully managed remotely via SureMDM, the above configurations must be completed directly from the device end.

Conclusion

By enabling remote control without user interaction on BYOD enrolled devices, administrators can initiate silent remote support sessions seamlessly and without delays caused by user approval prompts. This ensures faster troubleshooting, improved operational efficiency, and minimal disruption to end users.
