Purpose
The purpose of this KB will be to guide a SureMDM administrator through configuring and enabling the USB connection on a Zebra device using the Stage RunScript.
Prerequisites
- Enroll the device as a Fully Managed Device Owner.
- Verify the device is Online within the SureMDM Console.
- SureMDM Agent: Version 27.32.00 or later.
- Zebra OEM Agent: Version 1.33 or higher.
- Zebra MX: Version 4.3 or higher.
Steps
- Navigate to the Jobs – >New Job – >Android – >Zebra Mx Config Job type.
- Add the below run script direct or please click on import and import the Xml file which is exported from the stage now portal. Runscript:

NOTE: By changing the value to 0 the USB gets disabled.

- Give a name and save it, and deploy it on the Zebra device
Add the preview output from the device before and after deploying the script for the USB status. Also, add a NOTE, that by changing the value to 0 the USB gets disabled.
Conclusion
Please proceed with the deployment of the suggested stage now script onto the Zebra device. Once the script has been applied, you will need to reboot the device.
After the device reboots, you should be able to access Developer Mode, as the USB debugging setting has been enabled via the Zebra MX config job applied previously.
