Purpose

To prevent Enrollment from failing when no Default Profile is set, SureMDM provides the “Allow Enrollment Without Profile” option. When this is enabled, devices can be enroledl even without a default profile. If it is disabled, you must set a default profile for enrollment to work.

Prerequisites

• Android Device for Enrollment
• Access to SureMDM Console
• QR Code provisioning configured
• “Allow Enrollment Without Profile” option available

Steps

1. Login to the SureMDM Console, Click on Enrollment
2. In the Enrollment Enrollment > Device Enrollment – QR Code Page 
3. Click on New -> Enter the Name, select the Target Platform, Enrollment Type and Enrollment Mode -> Click on Next
4. In the Second Page, click on Provisioning Settings and check this Option “Allow Enrollment Without Profile” and Click on Save
5. Click on Next and Save the QR to Generate the QR Code for enrollment
6. On the Android device, scan the QR Code and proceed with enrollment
7. Complete the setup process

Expected Results

• If enabled:
  • Device enrollment completes without requiring a default profile
  • Device is redirected to the home screen
    Default system policy is applied
• If disabled:
  • Enrollment will not complete unless a profile is marked as Default
