The admin may want to customize the home screen/lock screen wallpaper of a device from the console. Now, SureMDM offers customization of the home screen/lock screen wallpaper through branding options available in profiles.
Purpose
The purpose of this knowledge article is to provide a guide on how to customize the home screen/lock screen wallpaper on the device through profiles from the SureMDM console.
Prerequisites
- This feature is supported from SureMDM Version 27.21.05 onwards.
- Image size should be < 20MB and the format should be jpg, jpeg or png.
Steps
Step 1 : Customization of Home Screen wallpaper.
- Log in to the SureMDM console.
- Navigate to the Profiles page.
- Navigate to the Android tab.
- Navigate to Branding.
- Click on the Configure button.
- Under home screen wallpaper, select Upload Image/Upload Image URL.
- Upload the image file, Enter the image URL in the Upload Image section.
Note : Image size should be < 20MB and the format should be jpg, jpeg or png.
- Choose a desired fit from Fill/Stretch/Fit.
Wallpaper in Fill mode.
Wallpaper in Stretch mode.
Wallpaper in Fit mode.
- Click on Save and Apply the profile to the device.
Step 2 : Customization of Lock Screen wallpaper
- Under lock screen wallpaper select Upload Image/Upload Image URL.
- Upload the image file, Enter the image URL in the Upload Image section.
- Choose a desired fit from Fill/Stretch/Fit.
Note : The ‘Use HomeScreen Wallpaper as Lock Screen Wallpaper’ option should be disabled for customization of lock screen wallpaper. If we enable the option Use Home Screen Wallpaper as Lock Screen Wallpaper, then lock screen wallpaper will be the same as home screen wallpaper.
