Prerequisites

  • Administrative access to the SureMDM Console.
  • Propertify plugin installed and enabled.
  • Devices enrolled and managed through SureMDM.
  • CSV file prepared with the required device and email information.

Note: The Plugin feature is available only for accounts with an Enterprise-tier subscription.

Steps

1. Install and Enable the Propertify Plugin

  1. Log in to the SureMDM Console.
  2. Navigate to Settings > Account Settings > Plugins > Manage Plugins.
  3. Open the Plugin Store.
  4. Locate Propertify and click Install.
  5. Once the installation is complete, navigate to Installed Plugins.
  6. Right-click Propertify and select Enable.

The Propertify plugin is now installed and ready for use.

2. Access the Propertify Portal

  1. Navigate to the Home page of the SureMDM Console.
  2. Near the Reports section, click the three-dot menu.
  3. Select Apps Plugin.
  4. Click Propertify from the list of available plugins and enable it.

You will be redirected to the Propertify portal, where you can upload a CSV file containing the required property values.

Note: Ensure the CSV file is prepared in the correct format before uploading.

3. Create a Custom Device Property

  1. Navigate to:
Settings > Account Settings > Device Properties > Properties > Custom Device Properties
  2. Click Add.
  3. Create a new custom property named Email User (or any preferred name).
  4. Save the property.

The custom property will be available for assignment to devices.

4. Assign the Custom Property to Devices

  1. Right-click the device group where the property should be applied.
  2. Select Properties.
  3. Open the Device Properties tab.
  4. Locate the newly created custom property.
  5. Click Edit.
  6. Enable the property and click Save.

The custom property will be assigned to all devices within the selected group.

Note: You can verify the assignment status from the Device Properties Status section.

5. Update the Property Using Propertify Plugin

  1. Return to the Propertify portal.
  2. Upload the CSV file containing the email values.
  3. Ensure that the property name in the CSV file exactly matches the custom property name created in the SureMDM Console.
  4. Proceed with the property update process.

Once the upload is completed successfully, the email values will be associated with the corresponding devices.

6. Display the Custom Column in the Device Grid

  1. Return to the SureMDM Console.
  2. Click Select Columns in the device grid.
  3. Locate and enable the newly created custom property column (Email User).

The custom Email column will now be displayed in the device grid and will show the values updated through the Propertify plugin.

  2. Confirm that the custom Email column is visible.
  3. Verify that the correct email values are displayed for the respective devices.
