Widgets are an essential aspect of home screen customization. You can think of them as “at-a-glance” views of an app’s most important data and functionality that are accessible right on the user’s home screen. Under certain conditions, you would want widgets enabled, but you don’t want the same widget to be accessible when you open folders to access applications. We have the option to view folders in a different view to set up your devices aesthetically.
Purpose
The purpose of this knowledge article is to provide a guide on how to avoid widgets carrying over to the SureLock folders.
Prerequisites
- Standalone SureLock version 21.21.16 and above.
Steps
- Launch SureLock Admin Settings.
- Navigate to the Allowed Widgets, add a widget, and then click Done.
- Navigate to the Allowed Applications and then Visible Apps.
- Select Add Folder, enter the folder name, and then click on OK.
- Add 2-3 apps to the same folder, and then click Done.
6. If we select the folder, widgets will be visible in the background.
7. To avoid this, navigate to the SureLock Settings.
8. Select Folder View as Immersive Mode and click Done.
