Purpose
This article explains how to check the SureMDM Agent and SureLock access to admin settings directly from the SureMDM Console. It helps administrators identify whether the admin settings are protected with a strong custom password instead of the default password, enabling better security and compliance across managed devices.
Prerequisite
- To have an active SureMDM Account.
- Android device to be enrolled to SureMDM Console.
- SureMDM Agent application to be installed on the device end.
- SureLock to be installed (If not using SureMDM Agent).
Steps
- Login to SureMDM Console
- Navigate to Columns > Enable “SureMDM Agent Admin Access”, “SureLock Admin Access”.
- Once the column is enabled, we can verify through SureMDM Console if the Admin access for SureLock and SureMDM Agent is protected or not.
- If both, SureMDM Agent and SureLock Admin settings is secured with a password than that of the default one, then the below status will be displayed as “PROTECTED”

- If both, SureMDM Agent and SureLock Admin settings is secured with a default password, then the below status will be displayed as “UNPROTECTED”
