The Admin may want to customize the Home Screen of SureLock like changing the grid size of icons on Home Screen, Scroll Direction, Scroll Bar style etc. Now SureLock offers customization of Home Screen settings that allows the user to change grids, scroll direction and style etc.
Purpose
The purpose of this knowledge article is to provide a guide on how to customize the SureLock Home Screen.
Prerequisites
- This feature is supported from SureLock version 21.21.05 onwards.
Steps
Step 1: Enable Custom Layout.
- Launch SureLock and navigate to the Admin Settings.
- Navigate to Custom Layout under Display Settings.
- Tap on Enable Custom Layout.
Step 2: Under the Custom Layout settings configure the below features.
Grid Size :
- Use this option to change the number of Apps allowed in each Row and Column of the Home Screen grid.
- Admins can change these settings for both Portrait and Landscape mode.
Note : The provided values should be between 0 to 11, with a minimum of 1 and maximum of 10.
Examples:
Example 1 – If Row is set to 6 and Column is set to 4 the Home Screen would look like the image below.
Example 2 – If Row is set to 4 and Column is set to 6 the Home Screen would look like the image below.
Scroll Direction :
- Use this option to change the Scroll Direction of the Home Screen in SureLock.
- The Admins can set the direction to either Horizontal or Vertical.
- If the Admin has set the Scroll Direction to Horizontal then they can customize two more options namely Scrollbar Style and Hide Empty Pages.
Scrollbar Style : Admins can set the Scrollbar style to either Dot or Line.

Hide Empty Pages : This option will help the Admin to hide empty/blank pages on Home Screen.
Note:
- If Custom Layout is enabled then the following features will not be Accessible – Icon Size, Font Size, Use classic Calculation, Spacing Between the icons.
- Admin can use these features again by disabling Custom Layout.
