How to Control Application Visibility on Devices Using SureMDM

Purpose

To control which applications are visible on managed devices, SureMDM provides the Visibility option. This helps administrators show only required apps and hide unnecessary ones, improving user experience and control.

Prerequisites

  • Device must be enrolled in SureMDM
  • Device should be online
  • SureMDM Agent installed and active

Steps

  1. On the SureMDM console -> Select the required device.
  2. Click on Apps.
  3. In the Application List window:
    • Locate the required application and Select the checkbox next to the app
  4. Configure Visibility:
    • Checked → App will be visible
    • Unchecked → App will be hidden
  5. Click on Apply Changes.

Expected Results

  • If enabled → The app appears on the device
  • If disabled → The app is hidden from the device interface

Conclusion

The Visibility feature allows administrators to control which apps users can see on their devices. This helps simplify the interface, reduce distractions, and ensure users only access necessary applications.
