How To Create a QR Code To Enroll Android Devices To SureMDM

Purpose

The purpose of this knowledge article is to provide a guide on how to create a QR code to enroll an Android device into the SureMDM console.

Steps

  1. Login to the SureMDM Console.
  2. Navigate to the Device Enrollment section.
  3. Click on Create QR Code.
  4. Enter a Name to set up the QR code.
  5. Select Android as Platform and Android Enterprise Enrollment as Enrollment Type.
  6. Click Next.
  7. Select the Group Name where the devices are to be enrolled.
  8. Select the Device Name type from the options below:
    • Use System Generated Name
    • Use IMEI Number
    • Use MAC Address
    • Use Serial Number
    • Set Phone Number
    • Set Device Name Manually
  9. Set the Expiry Date & Time for the QR code (optional).
  10. Configure the Maximum Number of Devices allowed for enrollment using this QR code (optional).
  11. Click on Provisioning Settings. (Refer to the screenshot below)


  12. Configure the following options as required:
  • Skip Encryption
  • Skip SureMDM Agent Permission Checklist
  • Enable DeepThought
  • Keep Screen On During Provisioning
  • Skip Education Screens
  • Skip Ownership Disclaimer
  • Post-Enrollment Initial Job Deployment Delay/Offset
  1. Don’t Care
  2. Until provisioning is completed
  3. Until specified time
  • Allow Enrollment Without Profile
  1. Configure Locale Settings (optional):
  • Language
  • Country
  1. Click Save to apply the provisioning settings.
  2. If the Admin is enrolling the device over Mobile Data, enable Use Mobile Data.
  3. To connect to a Wi-Fi network during enrollment, configure it under Configure Wi-Fi Network.
  4. Configure Proxy Settings if required.
  5. Click Next.
  6. Click Save.

Results

The QR code is now generated, and users can view it under QR Code Enrollment.
