Overview

The SureLock Loading Screen (also known as the Splash Screen) appears when the application initializes or when the device reboots. Customizing this screen allows organizations to maintain corporate branding and provide clear instructions to end-users during the startup sequence.

Prerequisite

1. Surelock should be 28.55.48 and above.
2. Image Resolution: Use an image that matches the device’s native screen resolution to avoid stretching or pixelation.
3. Contrast: Ensure the Font Color has high contrast against the Loading Screen Wallpaper for readability.
4. Testing: Always perform a Reboot Test after applying changes to ensure the custom screen appears correctly during the boot sequence.

Steps

1. Navigate to SureLock Admin settings > SureLock Settings > Wallpaper Settings.

2. Within the Customize Loading Screen menu, you can modify the following: 

• Loading Screen Message: Enter the text you want users to see during initialization.
• Loading Screen Message in Single App Mode: Specifically for devices locked into one app, this message appears after a reboot (e.g., “Launching Kiosk App… Please wait”).
• Show Progress Bar: Enable or disable the horizontal progress bar.
• Show Spinning Wheel: Enable or disable the circular loading animation.
• Font Color & Size: Adjust the visual style of the text to match your branding.
  
  

 3 .To change the background image of the loading screen:

Go to SureLock Settings > Wallpaper Settings> Tap Loading Screen Wallpaper> Select Browse to pick an image from the local storage or provide a URL.

Results

Once the loading screen customization is successfully applied, upon device reboot or SureLock launch, the default 42Gears splash screen is replaced by your corporate logo or custom wallpaper. The End-users are greeted with specific instructions (e.g., “System Initializing – Do not power off”) via the Loading Screen Message, reducing confusion during the boot process. The Progress Bar and Spinning Wheel provide real-time feedback that the application is loading, preventing users from attempting to force-restart the device prematurely. In Single Application Mode, the transition from the OS boot to the specific kiosk app is masked by a professional, customized message, ensuring a locked-down “appliance” feel.
