SureLock provides an effective way of lockdown service that allows businesses to control the access of mobile devices, converting them into dedicated-purpose tools. One of its key features is the ability to customize the SureLock to be used as an actionable Home Screen and tailored to specific workflows using custom and predefined HTML templates.
By enabling the SureLock Home Screen into an actionable dashboard, admins can ensure that users have quick access to the tools and apps they need.
Prerequisites:
- Supported on Android devices running with integrated SureLock.
- SureMDM agent should be v27.41.07 and above.
Purpose:
This knowledge article provides guidance on customizing the SureLock Home Screen using custom or predefined HTML templates.
Steps:
- Install and Launch SureLock (Integrated SureLock).
- Access SureLock Admin Settings by entering the SureLock Admin password.
- Go to SureLock Settings and search for “Custom Home Screen”.
- Navigate to “Enable Advanced Home Screen Customization”, read the warning message, and accept it.
5.Tap on “Custom HTML Home Screen Configuration“, then choose one of the following options:
- Predefined HTML Template : Select this to use the default Home Screen designed by 42Gears.
Note: If you would like to modify the Predefined template you can download the sample Pre-defined HTML file by selecting the “Download Predefined HTML Template” option.

- Custom HTML : Select this option if you want to use your own customized HTML file.
Note: The HTML file should be available on the device in the defined path as per your selection. If you are deploying the Job from the SureMDM Console, you have to push the File Transfer Job for the HTML file to be available on the device.

6. Once your selection is made, tap Done to complete the setup.
IMPORTANT NOTE : Before creating or transferring the HTML file the required applications to be shown on the Home Screen of SureLock should be allowed inside the SureLock settings. To know the steps on how to allow the applications on the Surelock Home Screen CLICK HERE.
