How to Disable or Hide the Default Folder in the File Sharing Policy.

To improve user experience, SureMDM now has introduced a new feature to Hide the default folder under File Store from the device end

Purpose

One of the very common requests from customers under the File Sharing Policy is to Hide the Default Shared and Home folder from the device end.

Prerequisites

  1. Should have a SureMDM Account.
  2. This feature is available for Android and iOS platforms.
  3. The device is to be enrolled in the SureMDM Console and should be Online.

Steps


For Android devices:

  1. Add Files/Folders on File Store as per your requirement
  2. Navigate to Profiles -> Select OS -> Android -> File Sharing Policy -> Configure -> Add the required files -> Tap On Permission -> Enable
    Ignore the Home Folder and Ignore the Shared Folder

For iOS devices:

  1. Add Files/Folders on File Store as per your requirement
  2. Navigate to Profiles -> Select OS -> iOS -> File Sharing Policy -> Configure -> Add the required files -> Tap On Permission -> Enable
    Ignore the Home Folder and Ignore the Shared Folder
