When the device is locked in a Kiosk, which is used in integrated browser lockdown (SureLock or SureFox) mode, having managed websites configured, it usually shows the website URL in the title bar. While this can be helpful, there may be times when you want to hide the URL—for example, to protect private information.
Purpose
The purpose of this article is to walk you through the steps to disable the website URL in the title bar, helping you create a more secure and streamlined browsing experience on managed devices.
Prerequisites
Devices should be enabled with Standalone SureFox / Integrated SureFox Kiosk via SureLock.
Steps
1: How to disable the URL of allowed websites in the title bar using Integrated SureLock:
- Access SureLock Admin Settings by tapping on the SureLock homescreen.
- Navigate to Manage Websites > Display Settings > Disable the setting, “Show Website Title Bar” > Click on Done.
Once the above setting is disabled, on launching the allowed website within Integrated SureLock or Standalone SureLock it would look as below:
2: How to disable the URL of allowed websites in the title bar using SureFox:
- Navigate to SureFox Admin Settings.
- Click on Display Settings > Disable the setting called “Show Title Bar”. Click on Done.
Once the above setting is disabled, on launching the allowed website within SureFox, it would look as below:
