How to Disable the Wi-Fi Disconnect Option in the WiFi Center Plugin of SureLock.

When Android devices are locked down with SureLock, it’s important to keep them connected to Wi-Fi so everything runs smoothly. SureLock’s Wifi Center Plugin has now introduced a new feature to avoid users accidentally or intentionally disconnecting from the connected network.

Purpose

The purpose of this article is to guide administrators on how to hide the “Disconnect” button in the WiFi Center plugin of SureLock. This helps prevent users from disconnecting the device from Wi-Fi, ensuring stable network connectivity and uninterrupted operation of essential apps and services.

Prerequisite

  • Devices should be running with SureLock, and there should be a WiFi Center plugin enabled on the SureLock home screen.

Steps

  1. Enable the SureLock on the device and allow the WiFi Center plugin under the Allowed Apps list.
Launch SureLock > Goto Allowed Apps > Visible Apps > Add App > Look for Plug-in apps > Select the WiFi Center and click on Done.
  2. Once the Wifi Center Plugin is allowed as an allowed application, launch the Wifi Center plugin and click on Settings enter the default password:

  3. Once you get into the Wifi Center Plugin Settings, enable the option, “Hide Disconnect Button”. This makes sure that if the device is connected to any allowed Wifi network, it would restrict the end users from disconnecting it.

  4. Once the above option has been enabled, on accessing the specific network it would look like this:

    Before:

After:

Similarly, the “Forget” option can be restricted by enabling the “Hide Forget Button” setting. This will prevent end users from forgetting the currently connected network or any previously saved networks.
