How to enable Global Search in SureMDM

The Enable Global Search option in SureMDM allows administrators to expand their device search beyond the currently selected group. When enabled, search results will include matching devices from all groups in the console, improving visibility and reducing the need to manually navigate across multiple groups. 

Purpose

The purpose of this article is to help admins:

  • Quickly locate devices across the entire SureMDM console
  • Improve operational efficiency by avoiding repeated group-level searches
  • Gain better visibility in large deployments with multiple device groups

Prerequisites

  • To have an active SureMDM account
  • To have access to the SureMDM console with appropriate administrative privileges
  • Devices are properly enrolled and visible in the console 

Steps

  1. Login to SureMDM Console
  2. Navigate to Settings > Account Settings > Miscellaneous Settings > Enable Global Search > Apply.




  3. Once the above setting is enabled, navigate to the device grid and try searching for the device. The search output will return results from all groups.


Kindly note the above option will only be visible to the Account admin of the console
