How to find the expiration date of APNS/VPP/DEP certificate

All the connections to Apple platform services like APNS, DEP server, and VPP portal will start once certificate is uploaded under SureMDM web console. This certificate will expire every year and it’s necessary to renew the same before the expiration date without interrupting the day-to-day operations and avoiding any downtime in the production environment.

Purpose

The purpose of this knowledge article is to provide a guide on how to find the expiration date of APNS/VPP/DEP certificate.

Steps

Step 1 : Apple Push Notification Service ( APNS) certificate.

  • Log in to the SureMDM Web Console.
  • Click the Settings icon on the navigation tab.
  • Select Account Settings from the drop-down.
  • Select iOS/macOS Settings from the menu.
  • Under APNS, you will find the expiration date of the APNS certificate.

Step 2 : Volume Purchase Program (VPP) certificate 

  • Log in to the SureMDM Web Console.
  • Click the Settings icon on the navigation tab.
  • Select Account Settings from the drop-down.
  • Select iOS/macOS Settings from the menu.
  • Under VPP, You will find the expiration date of the VPP certificate.

Step 3: Device Enrollment Program (DEP) certificate.

  • Log in to the SureMDM Web Console.
  • Click the Settings icon on the navigation tab.
  • Select Account Settings from the drop-down.
  • Select iOS/macOS Settings from the menu.
  • Under DEP, Navigate to DEP Servers.
  • You need to select the respective DEP Server and you will find the expiration date.
