How to forget the WiFi network on the device

Admins can apply a run script on the Android device to forget the available Wi-Fi network and also a specific Wi-Fi network.In case the users want to set up a new WiFi network or forget the network, they can use this run script.

Purpose

The purpose of this knowledge article is to provide a guide on how to forget the WiFi network on the device.

Prerequisites

• Supported on all devices.
• In DA mode, it will clear only the networks created through SureMDM.

Steps 

1. Login to the SureMDM console.
2. Navigate to the Jobs section.
3. Click on New Job and select the Operating System as Android.
4. Choose Run Script job and add the below script.

forgetWifiNetwork(SSID)

SSID: Specify the SSID to be forgotten.

5. Enter the job name and save it.

6. Click Apply to launch the Apply Job/Profile To Device prompt.

7. In the Apply Job/Profile To Device prompt, select the job and click Apply.

Apply the job  to the devices to forget all WiFi Networks.
