How to get the Hash Code of the device from the SureMDM console

Purpose

The purpose of this knowledge article is to provide a guide on how to get the hash code of a device from the SureMDM console.

What is Hash code?

This hash is a fixed-length string of characters used to identify a specific device based on its unique hardware components, such as the motherboard, CPU, and BIOS.


It also provides Unique Device Identification which is a cryptographic hash (like SHA256)

Steps

  1. Login to SureMDM console.
  2. Navigate to grid Column as mentioned on screenshot below:
  1. Search for Hash Code and Save

  1. Now the hash code would be visible on the Device Grid on Home.

By obtaining the hash code directly from the SureMDM console, administrators can avoid manual data collection from the device end.
