How to grant runtime permission for third-party applications

The user may want to grant runtime permission for the third-party application from the console. Now SureMDM offers to grant the runtime permission through the run script option available in the job.

Purpose

The purpose of this knowledge article is to provide a guide on how to grant runtime permission for the third-party application through a run script job from the SureMDM console.

Steps

Grating the runtime permission for third-party applications

1. Log in to the SureMDM console.
2. Navigate to the Jobs page.
3. Navigate to Android and select the Run Script job.
4. Paste the script provided below, give the job a name, and save it.

grantRuntimePermission(packagename,*)

 5. On the Home screen, select the device.

11.  In the Apply Job/Profile To Device prompt, select the job and click Apply.
