How to Lockdown Android Devices in minutes with SureLock Quick Settings

SureLock is always evolving to deliver robust lockdowns for your Android devices with easy to use features. We understand that our customers have different business needs and support dynamic set-ups which demand quick and easy lockdown processes. Now, SureLock comes with a new feature – Quick Settings. This feature can turn your Android device into a kiosk or mobile workforce-ready field device in just a few minutes.

Be it Single Application Mode or locking down of devices with access to more than one allowed application, this feature can help to achieve it in just a few taps.

Purpose

The purpose of this knowledge article is to provide a guide on how to lockdown Android devices in minutes with SureLock Quick Settings.

Steps

Step 1: To lockdown an Android device with a single application.

1. Launch SureLock.

2. Tap SureLock Home Screen 5 times within 3 seconds to launch the password prompt.

3. Use SureLock default password – 0000 (four zeros) to login.

4. On the SureLock Settings screen, tap Quick Settings.

5. On the Quick Settings screen, tap Single Application Mode from the given options.

6. On the Single Application Mode screen, select the desired application and tap on Next.

7. On the Peripheral Settings screen, make the necessary changes and tap Next

8. On the Finish screen, tap Launch to complete.

Now, once you are back on SureLock Home Screen, the selected application will launch in full screen mode and all other functions on the device will be restricted.

Step 2:  To lockdown an Android device with multiple applications.

1. Launch SureLock.

2. Tap SureLock Home Screen 5 times within 3 seconds to launch the password prompt.

3. Use SureLock default password – 0000 (four zeros) to login.

4. On the SureLock Settings screen, tap Quick Settings.

5. On the Quick Settings screen, tap Multiple Application Mode from the given options.

6. On the Multiple Application Mode screen, select the desired applications and tap Next.

7. On the Peripheral Settings screen, make the necessary changes and tap Next.

8. On the Wallpaper Settings screen, set a wallpaper, title for Home Screen and icon size and tap Next.  

9. On the Finish screen, tap Launch to complete.

Once you are back on SureLock Home Screen, the selected applications would be listed with the set wallpaper, title and icons.
