How to troubleshoot if all the devices disappeared from the On-Premise console

After enrolling the devices in the console, if the devices suddenly vanish even though they haven’t been deleted from the console, or if the devices aren’t listed in the console even after checking all the groups and the all devices section, we can investigate the problem by checking the task manager to see if the database service is active or not.

Purpose

The purpose of this article is to provide a comprehensive troubleshooting guide for resolving the sudden disappearance of enrolled devices in the SureMDM console.

Steps

How to check if the database is running or not:

1. Go to the Server machine where the On-premise SureMDM is configured and hosted.

2. Let’s now launch the task manager by right-clicking the toolbar, choosing “Task Manager,” and then selecting “Services.”

3. Verify that the MongoDB service is running; if it is not, the devices may have vanished from the console as a result.

  1. Run the MongoDB service.
  2. Once the service is up and running, The devices will reappear on the console.
