“Invalid Certificate Signing Request” error when importing CSR on Apple Push Notification certificate portal

In the process of setting up Apple Push Notification Service (APNS) for your application, you might encounter the below error when attempting to upload the Certificate Signing Request (CSR) to Apple’s portal. 

Purpose

The purpose of this article is to provide a guide on how to resolve the error that comes up while uploading an APNS CSR certificate to Apple’s portal to generate APNs certificate for managing iOS devices.

Prerequisites

  • SureMDM Admin console access with appropriate RBAC.
  • Access to Apple Push Certificates Portal.

Resolution Steps

  • Users can switch to a different network or connect to a hotspot.
  • Utilize Incognito Mode to avoid any cache related issues. 
  • If issues persist, consider using a different browser. Switching to Microsoft Edge or an alternative browser.
