How to change wallpaper on Linux machines using SureMDM?

Purpose

This guide explains how to configure and deploy branding settings on Linux devices using SureMDM. Administrators can customize the device wallpaper, lock screen image, and login screen message to maintain a consistent corporate identity across managed devices. It also covers how to remove previously applied branding configurations.

Steps


To create a branding profile and deploy it to the Linux device(s), follow these steps:

  1. Login to your SureMDM console.
  2. Navigate to Profiles and create a new Linux profile or edit an existing one.
  3. Select Branding from the profile configuration options on the left panel.
  4. Configure the following settings and click Save:

Wallpaper/Lock ScreenUpload Image: Select the Upload Image button to upload a file from your computer. Supported formats include .jpg, .jpeg, and .png.Enter Image Path: If the image is already hosted, use this field to specify the path directly.
Login Screen MessageEnable Login Screen Message: Check this box to enable the login screen message.Set Custom Message: Enter the custom message that users will see on the login screen, prior to login.Preview Message: Click this button to preview the login screen message as it will appear on the device.






A device logout/login is required for wallpaper and login screen changes to take effect.

  • Remove Branding: 

When deployed a profile to remove branding, all branding configurations previously applied via the SureMDM console will be permanently removed from the device. A reboot is required for these changes to take effect.

By following these steps, administrators can effectively manage the branding of their Linux devices to maintain consistency and adherence to company standards.
