How to Perform Lock, Wipe, Reboot, and Shutdown on Linux Devices via “Device Action” Job

The Device Action job in SureMDM lets admins remotely lock, wipe, reboot, or Shut Down Linux devices from a single job. It streamlines critical tasks, enhances response time during emergencies, and simplifies device management by combining multiple actions into one centralized configuration.

Steps

The following steps outline the process for deploying the job on Linux devices.

1 :- Enrolle the device in suremdm(To enroll the linux refer the link :- https://docs.42gears.com/suremdm/docs/SureMDM/LinuxEnrollment.html)


2 :- Log in to the SureMDM Web Console.Job.

3:- Go to the Jobs section from the top navigation bar.

4:- Select the appropriate OS platform (linux).

5:- Locate the job named [Device Action] from the list.


6:- Choose the desired option to perform the action on the device.

7:- Save the job and deploy it to the target device(s).
